As well as NomNom Web and the phone app, NomNom has a small website for looking after your account itself: the Restaurant Portal at nomnom-app.net/admin. NomNom Web calls it Admin dashboard. It’s where you see which devices are signed in, add staff, buy SMS credits, manage your subscription and download a copy of your bookings. You don’t take bookings or change settings here — that all stays in NomNom Web and the phone app.
Who can sign in
Only admins. You need a user with the Admin role and an email address, and you sign in with that email and your password. Standard and Read-only users can’t get in: the sign-in page tells them Invalid email or password. even when the password is right. To give someone access, an admin changes their role (see What Admin, Standard and Read-only staff can do). Signing in, including going straight in from NomNom Web, is covered in Signing in to the admin portal.
A tour of the pages
Seven pages are listed down the left-hand side.
Dashboard. At a glance shows your Total reservations, Upcoming, Today, Next 7 days, Upcoming covers and Cancellations, and how many Devices and Users you have. Cancelled bookings only count under Cancellations. Under Manage, the NomNom Web card opens NomNom Web in a new tab, already signed in, and Booking page opens your online booking page.
Recent bookings. The last 100 bookings made, newest first, with the date and time each one is for, the guest’s name and the covers. Web marks a booking made online, and Card one with a card saved against it. Cancelled bookings aren’t listed.
Devices. The iPads, phones and laptops signed in to your account, with the user on each, when it last signed in and its app version. Type in Add a description to give a device a name you’ll recognise. Revoke signs a device out; it then needs a fresh access code to sign in again (see Signing in on another device).
Users. Add staff with a Username, Name, optional Email and a Role, then click Add user. Next to each user, Generate code makes an access code to sign a device in as them (it lasts 48 hours), Reset password gives them a temporary password, and Send web login emails them their NomNom Web sign-in details. See Managing your team and who can access NomNom.
SMS Credits. Your Current balance, and packages you can Buy through Stripe’s secure checkout. New credits show up within a minute of paying. See Texting guests and managing SMS credits.
Subscription. Your plan, its next renewal date and the card on file. Open billing portal takes you to Stripe to change your card, download invoices or cancel. Still on a free trial? You’ll see Subscribe now instead (see What happens when your free trial ends).
Data Export. Click Generate export now for a copy of all your bookings, with each guest’s contact details, as a spreadsheet (CSV) file inside a zip. Each export is listed with its date and number of bookings; click Download to save it. The 30 most recent are kept.
In a browser: nomnom-app.net/admin. In NomNom Web: account menu (top right) → Admin dashboard.
If you run more than one venue
The venue you’re looking at is named at the top of every page. Click Switch venue at the top right and pick another: every page then shows that venue. You’ll only see the venues you’ve been given access to. When you revoke a device, you’re asked whether to sign it out of This venue only or All my venues.
Good to know
- It works on a phone. Unlike NomNom Web, the portal opens in any browser, including on a phone or iPad. On a small screen, the menu is behind the button at the top left.
- Signing out. Click the round account button at the top right, then Log out.
- Your settings aren’t here. Meals, tables, online booking and everything else you set up live in NomNom Web’s Settings and Configuration, and in the phone app.
