Every venue on NomNom is its own account, with its own tables, meals, bookings, guests, team, settings and booking link. If you run more than one, you set each one up separately, then move between them in NomNom Web or the phone app.
Adding another venue
There’s no button to add a venue to the account you already have. Instead, you sign the new venue up in its own right, with its own email address: NomNom allows one venue per email address.
1. Start a new signup. On our website, click Get Started. Or, in the phone app, go to Settings → Locations, tap Add Restaurant and choose Setup a New Restaurant.
2. Give it its own email address. Enter an address for the new venue in Email, one someone reads. Use your first venue’s address and you’ll be offered a sign-in to that venue instead (see "You already have a NomNom account": setting up a second venue).
3. Set it up. Work through the rest as you did for your first venue (see Getting started: setting up your restaurant). If you used the phone app, the new venue is added to that phone alongside your first.
NomNom is priced per venue, so each venue has its own subscription and is billed separately, and each new venue starts with its own free trial.
Switching venues in NomNom Web
When your sign-in covers more than one venue, the venue name at the top of the left-hand bar has Switch venue underneath it. Click it and choose a venue. The venue name also sits in the bar at the top of the page, so you can switch from there when the left-hand bar is hidden. Everything on screen reloads for the venue you pick.
Venues you sign up separately have separate sign-ins. For one NomNom Web sign-in that covers them all, get in touch and we’ll link them for you: you can’t set this up yourself. Linked venues each keep their own team, so you can be an admin at one and have Standard access at another.
In NomNom Web: left-hand bar → venue name → pick a venue.
Switching venues in the phone app
A phone can be signed in to several venues at once. They’re listed under RESTAURANTS in Settings → Locations, with ACTIVE next to the one you’re using.
1. Add each venue to the phone. In Locations, tap Add Restaurant, choose Login to an Existing Account and enter an access code for that venue (see Signing in on another device).
2. Switch. Tap the venue name at the top of the bookings screen, or at the top of the menu, and pick a venue under Switch Location. You can also tap a venue in Locations and choose Set as Active.
In the phone app: Settings → Locations.
Good to know
- Settings don’t carry across. Meals, tables, online booking, card payments, SMS credits and confirmation emails are all set up per venue. Changing one venue never changes another.
- Each venue has its own team. Add staff at each venue they work at (see Managing your team and who can access NomNom).
- Notifications switch for you. On a phone signed in to several venues, tapping a notification about another venue switches the app to it.
- Taking a venue off a phone. In Locations, tap the venue and choose Remove from Device. That only takes it off this phone: the venue and its bookings aren’t touched.
- Locations is for admins. It’s in Settings, which only admins see, so ask an admin to add a venue to a shared phone.
