How it works

Reserve with Google in three steps

  1. Nothing to set up

NomNom switches Reserve with Google on for venues that qualify, using the opening times, tables and rules you already have.

  2. Diners book on Google

Google shows the same times as your booking page, for about the next 30 days, and NomNom checks the time is still free just before confirming.

  3. It lands in your diary

A Google booking arrives like any online booking, with a table allocated, your usual confirmation and your usual notification.

Be found, be booked

The button the big chains have

Search for a chain and its listing has a Reserve a table button. Search for an independent and there is often only a phone number. Reserve with Google closes that gap.

No commission

No commission and no per-cover fee on Google bookings, however many come through.

Your real availability

The times Google shows come from your meals, tables, turn lengths and closing dates, with your online rules applied.

Changes flow both ways

If a guest cancels in Google the table is freed, and if you cancel in NomNom, Google is told within about a minute.

Deposits and Google

Google cannot take a card. Turn on Accept Google bookings without a card and your own booking page keeps asking for one.

Google and deposits

Your guests stay yours

Google receives your business details and free times, never your diary or your guests’ details.

Opt out any time

Email us and you are taken off within five working days, with no effect on your NomNom account.

Which venues get the button

NomNom checks every venue each night. To be switched on, a venue needs:

  • An active subscription that has not been cancelled
  • Its name and address in NomNom, matching its Google listing
  • Online booking switched on
  • At least 20 bookings in the last 90 days
  • No card or deposit rule on a meal, unless Accept Google bookings without a card is on

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the Reserve button on Google?

There is nothing to set up. NomNom, a Google booking partner, switches it on for venues that qualify and checks every night.

Is there commission on Google bookings?

No. There is no commission and no per-cover fee on bookings that come through Google.

Can I still take deposits?

Google cannot take a card. Turn on Accept Google bookings without a card to appear on Google: Google bookings then come in without one, and your own booking page keeps asking.

Could a Google booking double-book a table?

Google shows your live availability, and NomNom checks the time is still free just before it confirms.

What is the difference between a booking link and the Reserve button?

A booking link on your Google Business Profile sends diners to your booking page. Reserve with Google takes the whole booking without leaving Google.
