Restaurant table management, on a floor plan that seats the night

Draw your room once and see every booking on its table, live, in NomNom Web and the phone app. Drag bookings between tables on the chart, join tables for big parties, and let the optimiser suggest a better plan for the whole service.

How it works

Table management in three steps

  1. Draw your room

Place round, square and rectangular tables in three sizes, and rotate them to match the room.

  2. Bookings find their tables

Online bookings get the smallest free table that fits, and your team can drag, swap or bump them on the chart.

  3. Tidy the night in one go

The optimiser previews a better arrangement for the whole day, and nothing moves until you press Apply.

Run a smoother service

Run the floor, not a spreadsheet

The diary, the chart and the floor plan are three views of the same bookings, so the whole team works from one picture of the night.

A live floor plan

Each booking sits on its table with the time, surname and covers, in your status colours, and updates as bookings come in.

Tables against time

The chart lays your tables against the evening with a current-time line and an Unallocated row, so gaps are easy to spot.

Drag, swap and undo

Drag a booking to another table on the chart. If it is taken, swap or bump, and undo an ordinary move.

Moving bookings

The table optimiser

Ask for a better arrangement for the whole day, check the preview, then apply it. It also finds double-booked tables and offers fixes.

Joined tables for big parties

Save table groups with their own seat count for online and staff bookings, or put one booking across several tables.

Printed sheets

Print the day’s table chart, and a service sheet with allergies first and deposits marked paid.

Your table rules

Small settings that keep the right tables for the right parties.

  • Turn time: a reset gap after each booking, in 5-minute steps
  • Turn lengths: different for each party size, and for days of the week
  • Big tables for big parties: a smallest party size for online bookings
  • When tables are bookable: their own days, and their own online days
  • Requested tables: a padlock keeps a booking where the guest asked
  • Seasonal tables: put them away without deleting them

Frequently asked questions

Can I see my restaurant as a floor plan?

Yes. Draw it once in NomNom Web or the app, and the day's bookings appear on their tables in your status colours, updating live.

How are tables chosen for online bookings?

NomNom gives each online booking the smallest free table that seats the whole party, single tables before joined ones, then the priorities you set.

Can I stop couples taking my big tables online?

Yes. Give a table a smallest party size for online bookings and it is only offered online to parties that size or bigger.

Can I join tables for large parties?

Yes. Save them as a table group that guests can book online, or put one booking across several tables yourself.

How does it help prevent double bookings?

Online guests are only offered a table that is free for the whole sitting, staff are warned before saving a clash, and the optimiser finds any that slip through.
