Printing tonight's service sheet

The service sheet is a printout of the day’s bookings in time order, for the pass or the front desk, with tick boxes to fill in during service, paid deposits marked, and allergies and notes where nobody can miss them. NomNom Web calls it the Bookings report and the phone app the Arrivals Report, but it’s the same sheet.

Print it from NomNom Web

1. Open Reports. Click the printer icon in the top bar, Reports & printing. In a narrow window it moves into the More menu (the three dots) instead.

2. Pick Bookings. It’s already selected under Report when the window opens.

3. Choose the day. It starts on the day you were looking at. Use the arrows under Day, or click the date to pick another.

4. Choose the area and meal. If you have more than one area, pick one under Room or choose All rooms; it starts on the one you were viewing. Under Meal, choose All meals or just one.

5. Choose how much detail. Under Detail, pick Full, Compact or Minimal (see below).

The NomNom Web Reports window with Bookings selected, and the Day, Meal and Detail choices down the left.

6. Print. The sheet appears on the right as you choose. Click Print to open your browser’s print window, or Download to save it as a PDF.

In NomNom Web: Reports & printing (printer icon, top bar) → Bookings.

Print it from the phone app

1. Go to the day. On the bookings screen, show the day, area and meal you want on the sheet.

2. Tap the three dots at the top right, then Print Arrivals Report.

3. Choose Full, Compact or Minimal at the top of the preview.

4. Tap the printer icon to print, or the share icon to send the PDF on, by email for example.

Reports in the app’s menu has the same sheet under Bookings, always for every area.

In the phone app: bookings screen → three dots → Print Arrivals Report.

What’s on the sheet

  • Bookings grouped by time, rounded to the nearest quarter of an hour, with the number of guests at each time, then each booking’s name, guests and table.
  • Deposit. PAID in this column means a payment is recorded against the booking — a deposit paid online, or one you’ve recorded yourself. It goes blank again if the money is refunded in full.
  • Tick boxes — Arrived, Seated, Drinks and Ordered — for your team to tick by hand as service goes on.
  • Allergies first. Each booking’s second line starts with its allergens, then the guest’s notes, then any internal notes marked Internal:, then the amount paid. The meal and the guest’s phone number sit at the right.
  • Totals at the bottom: Total Guests, split into adults and children.

Close-up of one booking on a printed Full sheet: PAID in the Deposit column, four empty tick boxes, and a second line starting with the allergens.

Full, Compact or Minimal?

  • Full — grouped by time, two lines per booking, with everything above.
  • Compact — grouped by time, one line per booking. Allergens and notes share an Allergens / Notes column, and the meal, phone number and amount paid are left off. Far fewer pages on a busy night.
  • Minimal — one list with each booking’s exact time in its own column, and just two tick boxes: Arrived and Seated. Rows are well spaced, so it’s easy to find your place mid-service.

On Compact and Minimal, bookings with allergens print darker so they stand out, but long notes are cut short to fit the line. Full gives allergies and notes up to three lines per booking, so print Full when the notes matter.

Printing the table chart instead

For a picture of the room, print the chart: a landscape grid with your tables down the left and times across the top. Each booking is a bar labelled with the guest’s surname and party size, coloured by its booking status, and bookings without a table go in an Unallocated row at the top. It uses the same day, area and meal choices, and has no detail options.

In NomNom Web: Reports & printing → Chart. In the phone app: three dots → Print Reservation Chart.

Good to know

  • The sheet is for your team. It prints internal notes, so don’t hand it to guests — see Booking notes and internal notes: what your guest can see.
  • Cancelled bookings are left off.
  • It’s a snapshot. Bookings made or changed after you print won’t be on it, so print again if the day changes.
  • Your detail choice is remembered on that computer or phone.
