VIBE Plant Based Cafe & Restaurant

Vegan · Douglas Isle of Man
4.9 (161)

Welcome to VIBE, a plant-based café by day and restaurant by night in the heart of Douglas. As the Isle of Man's first all plant-based eatery, opening in March 2022, VIBE was a first of its kind on the Island, with menus brimming with delicious whole foods and nutritious ingredients carefully sourced and freshly prepared from scratch in house, including multiple gluten-free dishes. Overlooking Douglas Marina, VIBE brings a fresh, modern twist to the island's café scene as the Isle of Man's first fully plant-based restaurant. Founded by Laura Mowat, the café was born from a deeply personal journey. VIBE is the positive result of Laura's path from being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015, battling it, beating it, and then turning plant-based for continued wellness, and she now wants to inspire others by providing beautiful, delicious food and drinks in a relaxing, positive venue so people don't have to compromise when socially eating out. This ethos runs through everything on the plate, with dishes made from scratch with love and gratitude using carefully sourced, high quality natural, plant-based ingredients and superfoods. The kitchen offers plenty to tempt every appetite. Crafted daily by the head chef and his team, the imaginative menu lets diners enjoy a wide range of dishes, from freshly baked pastries and smoothie bowls at brunch to hearty mains like housemade butterbean and walnut sausages and white sesame shoyu ramen. A real point of pride is sustainability and provenance: a key part of VIBE's efforts includes its roof garden, where the team grows its own herbs and edible flowers to use in dishes and drinks, while also supporting biodiversity with wildflowers that help local bees, butterflies, and small birds. Look out, too, for the specials wall menu featuring seasonal ingredients. There's always something a little special on the calendar as well, from themed tasting menus and Superfood Sunday sessions to monthly plant-based afternoon tea pop-ups and custom birthday cakes for special celebrations. Whether you're planning a post-walk coffee, a lazy brunch or an evening meal, you'll find a warm, light-filled space where comfort food feels both wholesome and indulgent. Fully licensed and welcoming to small dogs, VIBE is a relaxed and inviting spot to gather with friends and family over food made with genuine care.

Craftworks Padstow

Padstow
4.7 (182)

Hidden in the old orchard at Padstow Holiday Village, Craftworks Kitchen is where afternoons slide effortlessly into unforgettable evenings. Nordic tipis. Shipping containers. Big flavour. Zero fuss. It’s alfresco dining with edge — relaxed, social, and unapologetically cool. As the sun dips, the orchard shifts gear. Light filters through the trees, fairy lights flicker on, and everything settles into that golden-hour calm. It’s tucked away but buzzing — intimate yet open. The kind of place you arrive for “just a couple” and end up closing down. Conversations flow, music hums at the right level, and the whole space feels warm, easy, and alive. The food? Properly stacked burgers, banging burritos, and amazing tacos loaded with flavour. Plates built for sharing, getting messy, and going back in for more. The drinks? Really good beers — crisp lagers, local pours, and cool craft options — alongside great wines worth lingering over. Cocktails are bold and balanced. Craftworks milkshakes are thick, indulgent, and unapologetically nostalgic. And then dessert lands. Mama’s chocolate brownie — rich, warm, and genuinely to die for. Sticky toffee pudding — soft, indulgent, and honestly unbelievable. The kind of puddings that silence the table for a minute… then spark the “we’re getting another one” conversation. Rustic meets industrial. Garden meets street food. Tipis glowing, containers humming, orchard energy all around. Whether you’re staying on site or wandering in from Padstow, Craftworks Kitchen is about great food, great drinks, and seriously good evenings. That’s us ……… Big Love Team Craftworks
