Greek Flame Taverna
Authentic Greek Taverna Dining on the Fylde Coast
About
Tucked away on St Andrew's Road South in Lytham St Annes, the Greek Flame Taverna brings a genuine taste of the Aegean to the Fylde coast. Established in 2014 by Stefanos and Helmut, the taverna is built on real Greek heritage — Stefanos lived in Leros in Greece before moving to the U.K., devising a menu cooked to original Greek recipes handed down from generation to generation. The result is a warm, characterful dining room where traditional hospitality takes centre stage and every visit feels like being welcomed into a Greek family home.
The menu is a celebration of classic Mediterranean flavours. From souvlaki to gyros to mezze selections, diners can indulge in a variety of dishes, with the charcoal grill serving up fresh souvlaki, vegetarians enjoying options such as stuffed aubergine, and starters like dolmades, feta, calamari and spanakopita pastries perfect for sharing. Guests regularly praise flavourful plates such as the king prawns and slow-cooked lamb, which are both satisfying and reasonably priced. The taverna offers traditional Greek cuisine alongside a large selection of Greek drinks at affordable prices, and there's a lovely dessert selection to round things off.
The atmosphere here is relaxed, friendly and unmistakably Greek. A delightful dining spot that offers a taste of authentic Greek cuisine, the friendly staff add to the welcoming atmosphere, making for an enjoyable experience overall. It's an inviting setting for everything from a quiet midweek dinner to a lively evening out with friends and family. The taverna also offers outdoor seating for warmer evenings.
The Greek Flame Taverna is a natural choice for special occasions, too. Echoing the Greek tradition of celebration, the team understand the importance of such events — whether a birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion, they are happy to tailor to your needs, including special requests such as decorating the table, bringing out the cake and even the chef singing Happy Birthday. The taverna is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5.00PM, so book your table and settle in for an evening of honest, home-style Greek cooking and genuine hospitality.
