You can add a booking link to your Google Business Profile so that when someone finds your restaurant on Google Search or Maps, they can tap straight through to your NomNom booking page. It’s free, it takes about five minutes, and every booking still comes into NomNom exactly as it does today.
This is the quickest way to start picking up reservations from Google. You add the link yourself, in your own Google account — nothing needs switching on at the NomNom end.
One thing to set expectations: a link you add yourself appears as a booking link on your listing — not the big headline “Reserve a table” button. That prominent button comes from Google’s separate “Reserve with Google” partner programme, which plugs into live availability, so it isn’t something you can switch on from this screen. Your link still gets diners to your booking page in a couple of taps.
What you’ll need
- Your NomNom booking page link — the web address diners use to book with you online (the same link you’d put behind a “Book a table” button on your website). If you’re not sure what yours is, get in touch and we’ll send it over.
- Access to your Google Business Profile — you’ll need to be signed in to the Google account that manages your restaurant’s listing.
Step by step
- Go to business.google.com and sign in, or simply search your restaurant’s name on Google while signed in to the business account.
- Open your Business Profile and look for Bookings (on some accounts it sits under Edit profile).
- Find the section headed “Links to your online booking tools” and choose Add a link there. Don’t use the “Featured book button” option above it — that one is only for Google’s Reserve with Google booking partners and won’t accept your link.
- Paste your NomNom booking link. Use the direct booking page address, not your homepage — you want diners to land somewhere they can pick a date and time straight away.
- Click Save.
What happens next
Your booking link usually appears on your Google listing within a day or so — often within a few hours, occasionally up to 24–48 hours. From then on:
- Diners can tap it from Google Search and Maps to open your NomNom booking page.
- Every reservation flows into NomNom as normal — deposits, card holds, reminders and your customer records all work exactly as they do for any other online booking.
- There’s no extra cost — adding a booking link to your Google profile is free.
Good to know
- Can’t see the Bookings option? Check that your business is categorised as a Restaurant (or a similar food-and-drink category) on Google — the booking link option only shows for relevant categories.
- More than one location? Repeat these steps for each venue, using that location’s own NomNom booking link.
- Changed your mind? You can edit or remove the link from the same Bookings screen at any time.
