As soon as you finish signing up, NomNom sends a welcome email to the address you signed up with. Its subject is Welcome to NomNom - Setup Complete. It holds everything you need to sign in for the first time, so keep it somewhere you can find it.
Look in the inbox of the email address you signed up with, for an email from NomNom.
What’s in it
- Your free trial date. While you’re on your free trial, the top of the email says when it runs until — for example, Your free trial runs until Sunday 11 October.
- Book yourself a table. Book a table now opens your booking page, which is already live. Book the way a guest would; the booking goes straight into your diary and you can cancel it afterwards. Below it are guides to putting the booking form on your website (see Putting the booking form on your own website).
- Moving from another booking system? Tell us what you’re on and we’ll bring your existing bookings across (see Moving your bookings from another booking system).
- Sign in to NomNom Web. The Sign in to NomNom button, the email address you sign in with and, sometimes, a temporary password. If the button doesn’t work, the same address is written out underneath to paste into your browser.
- Take deposits with Stripe. A link to set up card payments (see Connecting card payments with Stripe).
- The companion app. App Store and Google Play links, and Your app access code for signing the app in.
- Help. Links to this knowledge base, our FAQs and blog, an offer to build your venue a website, and Contact us.
Sign in to NomNom Web for the first time
1. Open the email on your computer. NomNom Web runs in a desktop browser, so the sign-in link won’t open on a phone or tablet (see Why can’t I open NomNom Web on my phone or iPad?).
2. Click Sign in to NomNom. Your sign-in page opens.
3. Enter your email and password. Type the email address shown in the welcome email into Username or email. If you signed up in your web browser, your password is the one you chose during signup.
4. Got a temporary password? If the email shows Your temporary password, enter that six-digit number as your password. You’ll go straight to Set a new password: choose one of at least 8 characters, click Update password, and you’re in.
Tick Keep me signed in on this device on your own computer. See Using NomNom in your web browser for finding your way round.
Sign the phone app in
Install the NomNom app, tap Already have an account?, type the six digits from Your app access code into Enter Access Code and tap Verify.
The code expires 48 hours after the email is sent. After that, tap Request a code in the app and we’ll email you a new one, or make one in NomNom Web (see Signing in on another device).
Good to know
- Who gets a temporary password. If you signed up in your web browser, you chose a password there, so the email just shows the address you sign in with. If you signed up in the NomNom phone app, or we set NomNom up for you, the email has a temporary password instead.
- Asking us to send it again resets your password. A re-sent welcome email always comes with a new temporary password, and the password you were using stops working. Sign in with the new one and choose your own again.
- Can’t find it? Check your spam or junk folder. You can sign in without it: go to app.nomnom-app.net on your computer, enter your email, and use Forgotten your password? or Sign in with a one-time code.
- Set up by us? If we built your system for you, we send the welcome email on the day you go live, not before.
