NomNom Web is the full NomNom in your computer’s web browser, with nothing to install — ideal for the front desk, the office or a till.
A computer, not a phone or tablet
NomNom Web only opens on a computer or laptop. On a phone or tablet, including an iPad, you’ll see NomNom Web is only available on a desktop browser, with a Copy link button so you can open it on your computer instead. On phones and tablets, use the NomNom phone app. Touch-screen tills and laptops that run Windows are fine.
Signing in
In NomNom Web: go to app.nomnom-app.net.
1. Enter your email address and password and click Sign in. If you sign in with a username instead, use your team’s own sign-in link — this page only takes email addresses.
2. Or use a code. Click Sign in with a one-time code, then Email me a code, and type in the 6-digit code we send. It lasts 15 minutes. Forgotten your password? emails you a link to set a new one if you’re an admin; anyone else asks an admin to reset theirs.
3. Tick Keep me signed in on this device on your own computer. Leave it unticked on a shared or public one.
Staying signed in
- Each browser tab signs in on its own. Refreshing keeps you signed in; closing the tab signs you out.
- 12 hours without use signs you out too.
- Keep me signed in on this device lets you straight back in after either, without your password, as long as you use NomNom Web on that computer at least once every 30 days. Sign out makes the browser forget you.
Finding your way around
The top bar steps between days (Today jumps back) and holds Search, Reports & printing, More (the three dots) and the List, Chart and Plan views. Your name, top right, opens the account menu. The left-hand bar has New reservation, Walk-in, Availability (every time on a day and how full it is), your meals and a calendar; Ctrl+B hides it.
Press ? at any time for the keyboard shortcuts — N for a new booking or / to search, for example.
Settings or Configuration?
Both are for admins only.
- Configuration is how your venue is set up: Areas, Meals, Times, Tables, Table groups and Events.
- Settings is everything else — restaurant details, online booking, emails and texts, payments and more. Use the Search settings box to find one quickly.
In NomNom Web: the Settings and Configuration buttons at the bottom of the left-hand bar, or the account menu → Settings or Configuration.
Your diary updates by itself
New and changed bookings — online, from the phone app or from another computer — appear within moments, with no need to refresh. NomNom Web doesn’t send notifications, though: for alerts about new bookings, turn notifications on in the phone app (see our article on booking notifications).
Getting the latest version
When we update NomNom Web, press F5. If it still looks the same, hold Ctrl and press F5. Stay in the same tab — closing it signs you out.
On a till or an unusual screen
In NomNom Web: Settings → Display.
- Display size shrinks everything (down to 70%) for a small till screen, or enlarges it (up to 150%) for a big monitor.
- Scroll lists by dragging, under Touch screen, is for touch-screen tills where swiping moves the pointer instead of scrolling. Leave it off on a computer with a mouse.
Both only change the computer you set them on, so an admin needs to set up each till.
Add NomNom to your desktop
In Chrome or Microsoft Edge, open the account menu, choose Add to desktop and confirm. NomNom gets its own window and a desktop shortcut. The option doesn’t show in other browsers, or once it’s been added.
Good to know
- More than one venue? Switch from the venue name at the top of the left-hand bar or in the top bar. Each tab can be on a different venue, so you can keep two open side by side.
- The account menu also shows your SMS credits and has Language and Change password, plus Top up, People & Access and Account & Billing for admins.
- Five wrong passwords in a row lock sign-in for 15 minutes.
