NomNom Web is made for a computer: the diary, table plan and settings need a full-size screen, a keyboard and a mouse. So if you open it on a phone or tablet, you won’t see the sign-in page. You’ll see NomNom Web is only available on a desktop browser instead, with the address you opened and a Copy link button. Nothing’s wrong with your account — you just need a computer, or the NomNom app.
Which devices see it
- Phones — iPhone and Android.
- Tablets — iPads and Android tablets. iPads are recognised even when they’re set to show the desktop version of websites.
Windows laptops and desktops open NomNom Web as normal, touchscreen laptops included, and so do Macs. It’s the device that counts, not the size of the window, so a small browser window on your computer is fine.
You tapped a link in an email
This is how most people end up here. Your welcome email, your NomNom Web login link, a team invitation and a password reset email all open NomNom Web, so tapping one on your phone shows the message.
1. Tap Copy link. If your phone can’t copy it straight away, you’ll be asked to press and hold the address to copy it instead.
2. Get the link to your computer. Paste it into an email or message to yourself. Or skip this step and open the same email on your computer.
3. Open it in a browser on your computer. Tapping the link on your phone didn’t use it up, so it works just the same. A password reset link only lasts an hour, though.
On a phone or tablet, use the app
For a phone or tablet there’s the free NomNom app: from the App Store for iPhone and iPad, or Google Play for Android phones and tablets. The message doesn’t link to the stores, so search for NomNom there, or use the store buttons at the bottom of your NomNom Web login link email.
The app signs in with a 6-digit access code. Open it, tap Already have an account? and enter your code — "Signing in on another device" explains how to get one.
Good to know
- Setting up a new restaurant works on a phone. The sign-up steps are the one part of NomNom Web that opens on a phone or tablet. Once your venue’s created, carry on on a computer.
