When you signed up, NomNom filled in parts of your booking page for you, so it didn’t start out blank. It’s worth five minutes to check them, because some of it came from outside sources rather than from you:
- The header photo may be a photo from your Google listing. Signup now shows you the photo and asks first, but earlier signups used the first photo on the listing automatically, and some used a photo found elsewhere online. Google listing photos are often taken by customers, so they can show people you don’t know.
- The heading and description were written automatically, from your website or from what we could find about you online. Read them for anything that isn’t right, including an opening line that reads like a note rather than something about your venue.
- Your social media links may have been picked up from your website.
The header photo sits at the top of your booking page and of your guest emails, such as booking confirmations. The heading and description show on your booking page and, if you list yourself, on your NomNom Discover page.
Look at your booking page
1. Open Online Booking & Discover. In NomNom Web, click Settings at the bottom of the left-hand bar and choose Online Booking & Discover.
2. Click Test Online Booking. It’s further down the same page. Your booking page opens in a new tab, just as a guest sees it.
In NomNom Web: Settings → Online Booking & Discover. In the phone app: Settings → Online Booking & Discover.
Change or remove the header photo
1. Click the photo under HEADER IMAGE.
2. Choose what to do. View Photo shows it full size. Select Photo lets you upload your own: a wide photo works best. Clear Photo removes it; click Clear to confirm.
With no photo, your booking page shows a plain header with your venue’s name, and your emails simply have no picture at the top.
Edit the heading and description
1. Click Heading under YOUR RESTAURANT, at the top of the same page. Change the text and click Save.
2. Click Description and do the same. A few sentences about your food, your room and what makes a visit worth it are plenty. Clear everything you don’t want, rather than leaving text you haven’t read.
Check your social links
Go to Settings → Social Media and check that the Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and TikTok links go to your own pages. Your booking page can link to them.
Good to know
- One photo, two places. Settings → Restaurant Details → RESTAURANT IMAGE is the same header photo. Change it in either place and both change.
- Using a logo? Set Display under HEADER IMAGE to Logo, so it’s shown in full rather than cropped.
- Your venue’s details — name, address, phone and website — came from your Google listing or from what you typed at signup. Check them under Settings → Restaurant Details.
- Admins only. Only admins can open Settings.
