Your diary is the screen NomNom opens on: every booking for one day. Here’s how to get around it in NomNom Web and in the phone app. For what the chips and icons on a booking mean, see What the chips, icons and colours in your diary mean.
In NomNom Web
1. Pick a day. The date is in the top bar, with arrows to go back or forward a day and Today to come straight back. For dates further off, click a day in the calendar in the left-hand bar, or click the month name to jump to any month. Days you’re closed have fine stripes, but you can still open them.
2. Choose a meal. Under MEALS in the left-hand bar, click a meal to see just that sitting, or All meals for the whole day. Only meals you serve that day are listed.
3. Choose a room. If you have more than one room, tabs appear above the bookings: All rooms, then each room. A room in italics is one you’ve deleted that still has bookings that day.
4. Pick a view. Use the List, Chart and Plan switch at the top right.
- List groups the day by time, with the bookings and covers for each time. On today, a NOW marker shows where you are, and the list scrolls to it.
- Chart puts your tables down the side and the times across, with a red line at the current time. Bookings without a table wait in the Unallocated row at the top. Drag a bar to move a booking, or click an empty space to book that table at that time.
- Plan shows one room as a floor plan (see Seeing your room as a floor plan).
5. Open a booking. Click a booking in any view to open its details in a panel on the right, with Edit reservation and Full details. Esc closes it. Right-click a booking for quick jobs such as Change status.

In the phone app
1. Pick a day. Tap the arrows either side of the date, or tap the date for a calendar. Today appears at the top right when you’re on another day.
2. Choose a meal and room. Tap a meal or All Meals along the bottom and, if you have more than one room, a room or All Rooms. With more than three, tap the bar to pick from a list.
3. Pick a view. The List, Chart and Plan switch is under the date. Pull the list down to refresh it.
4. Open a booking. Tap it to move it, change its status or choose View Details. In the list you can also swipe a booking right to move it, or left to unallocate it.
Showing cancelled bookings
Cancelled bookings are hidden to start with. In NomNom Web, tick Show cancelled at the bottom left, or press C. In the phone app, tap the three dots at the top right and choose Show Cancelled Bookings. Their names appear crossed out in red.
Keyboard shortcuts in NomNom Web
Press ? to see them all. The handiest are [ and ] for the previous and next day, T for today, 1 to 9 for meals (1 is All meals), R to step through your rooms and . (full stop) to jump to the NOW marker. Ctrl+B hides the left-hand bar.
Good to know
- The totals follow your filters. The numbers at the bottom count the day, meal and room on screen (see How bookings and covers are counted).
- A different kind of day? In NomNom Web, coloured pills at the bottom, such as Full Close or Online Disabled, flag a change on that date; an admin can click one to open Schedule changes. The phone app shows a banner under the date. See Closing dates and one-off changes.
- Popup notes for the day show as a banner above the bookings (see Adding popup notes).
- A fresh start each time. NomNom opens on today, in List view, with every meal and room showing.
