Giving a manager access to more than one venue

If you run more than one venue, you choose which ones each person can use. A manager who looks after two or three of your sites can then switch between them in NomNom Web without signing in again. You’ll need to be an Admin to set this up.

Choose their venues

1. Open People & Access. In NomNom Web, open the account menu at the top right and choose People & Access.

2. Click the manager. Their page opens, with their role, account settings, venues and devices.

3. Tick their venues. Under Venues, tick every venue they should be able to use. Untick any they shouldn’t.

4. Click Save changes. It appears next to Venues once you’ve changed something. You’ll see Venues updated.

In NomNom Web: account menu → People & Access → click the person → Venues. In the phone app: Settings → People & Access → tap the person → Venues.

Adding a new manager

Click Add person. Fill in Username, Display name and, if they have one, Email (optional), and choose their role. Under Venues, tick their venues (Select all ticks every one), then click Create person. They can’t sign in until you give them a password: open them and click Reset password, or see Emailing a member of staff their sign-in details.

How the manager switches venue

In NomNom Web. If they were already signed in, they sign out and back in first. On your team link, the Site box chooses where they start. After that, they click the venue name at the top of the left-hand bar (it says Switch venue underneath), or the venue box in the top bar, and pick another. Each browser tab can be on a different venue.

In the phone app. Their phone needs signing in to each venue. On their page in People & Access, under Devices, click New code and pick the venue. They enter the code on their phone under Settings → Locations → Add Restaurant → Login to an Existing Account within 48 hours (see Signing in on another device). To change venue, they go to Settings → Locations, tap a venue and choose Set as Active.

Good to know

  • Changes show at their next sign-in. Someone already signed in to NomNom Web won’t see a new venue until they sign out and back in.
  • Taking a venue away. Untick it and click Save changes, and their phones and browsers are signed out of that venue. The venues they keep aren’t affected.
  • At least one venue. Untick them all and you’ll see A person must have access to at least one venue.
  • One role everywhere. A person’s role applies at every venue they can use. See What Admin, Standard and Read-only staff can do.
  • The account owner can always use every venue in your account, without ticking anything.
  • A venue missing from the list? You can only give access to venues you can use yourself. If one of your sites is on a separate NomNom account, contact NomNom support.
