People & Access shows everyone’s email address, but it can’t change it. To change or remove the address someone signs in with — a member of your team, or your own — use the Users page of the admin portal. You’ll need to be an Admin.
In NomNom Web: account menu (top right) → Admin dashboard → Users. From any browser, including on a phone: nomnom-app.net/admin → Users.
What the address is used for
- Admins sign in with it, and their password, on the main NomNom Web sign-in page and in the admin portal. Forgotten your password? links and one-time sign-in codes go to it too.
- Standard and Read-only staff sign in with their username on your team’s sign-in link, not their email. Their address is where their one-time sign-in codes go, and where Send web login in the admin portal sends their sign-in details. Without an address, their codes go to your account owner.
Change someone’s email address
1. Open the admin portal. In NomNom Web, open the account menu at the top right and choose Admin dashboard. It opens in a new tab and normally signs you straight in. If it doesn’t, go to nomnom-app.net/admin and sign in with your email address and password.
2. Pick the venue. The venue’s name is shown at the top. The Users page lists the people who were added at that venue, so if you have more than one venue, use Switch venue to choose theirs.
3. Open Users. Click Users in the menu, or the Users card on the dashboard.
4. Type the new address. Find the person and click into the Email box on their row. Replace the address, then click anywhere else on the page. It saves straight away — there’s no Save button.
5. Let them know. An Admin signs in with the new address from now on. Their username and password stay the same.
If the address can’t be used, a red message appears above the list and nothing changes. That email address is already in use by another user. means another NomNom sign-in has it — see That email address is already in use when adding someone. That email address doesn’t look valid. usually means a typing mistake.
Changing your own address
Find yourself in the list and change it the same way. If you set up your NomNom account, you’re probably the row with the username admin. Next time you sign in to NomNom Web or the admin portal, use your new address. Your password doesn’t change.
Good to know
- Removing an address. Clear the box and click away. An Admin with no address can still sign in with their username on your team’s sign-in link, but not on the main sign-in page or in the admin portal, and Forgotten your password? can’t reach them.
- Shared with other venues. If you see this under someone’s address, NomNom support has linked them across several venues. Changing the address here unlinks this venue, so contact NomNom support instead.
- Phones and tablets aren’t affected. They sign in with access codes, not email addresses.
- Your venue’s own email settings don’t change. This only changes how one person signs in. Anything under Settings → Email Settings stays as it is.
- Only Admins can do this. Standard and Read-only staff should ask an Admin. See What Admin, Standard and Read-only staff can do.
- Changing the account owner is a different job from changing their email address — see Who owns your NomNom account, and changing the owner.
