NomNom Web has a new design of the booking form. It has all the same fields as the form you know, laid out so the date, time, area and meal stay on screen however many tables you have. Anyone who takes bookings can try it, and going back takes two clicks.
In NomNom Web: New reservation, Walk-in or Edit reservation → New design (top right of the form). The phone app isn’t affected.
Switch to the new design
1. Open a booking form. Click New reservation or Walk-in in the left-hand bar, or open a booking and click Edit reservation.
2. Click New design. It’s the small button at the top right of the form, next to the cross.
3. Click Switch design. NomNom asks Switch to the new design? because the booking reopens fresh in the new form, and anything you’ve typed but not saved won’t carry over. Click Keep editing instead if you’d rather save first.
From then on, every booking form in that browser opens in the new design: new bookings, walk-ins and edits, including bookings you start from Availability or by clicking the chart.
What’s different
- Two columns. The booking is on the left, with Party and When & where above the tables, and the guest is on the right.
- The essentials stay put. Only the list of tables scrolls, so at a venue with lots of tables the date, time, area and meal never scroll out of sight.
- Nothing is cut short. If you have lots of areas or meals, their buttons wrap onto another line instead of shortening the names.
- Turn length sits above the tables. The lengths are next to a timer icon, and Requested table is a lock button at the end of the same row.
- A fuller summary. The line at the bottom reads back the whole booking: party size, date, time, meal, area, tables and turn length.
- Unsaved changes are counted. When you edit a booking, a note such as 2 unsaved changes appears by the buttons, and closing without saving asks Discard unsaved changes? first.

Go back to the classic form
1. Click New design at the top right of the new form. It’s filled in while you’re using the new design.
2. Click Switch back. The booking reopens in the classic form, and that browser goes back to the classic form for every booking.
Good to know
- It’s saved per browser. The choice is kept in the browser you made it in. Other computers, other browsers and the phone app aren’t affected, and everyone who uses that browser gets the same form.
- Clearing your browser’s data puts it back to the classic form, and a private window forgets the choice when you close it.
- The booking is the same either way. Both forms save it in the same way, with the same PIN, Taken by and venue-limit checks, and both offer Book another date once it’s saved.
- Full details doesn’t change. A booking’s Full details window, with its payments, messages and audit trail, looks the same in both.
- Nothing to switch on. The New design button shows for everyone who takes bookings in NomNom Web; no admin setting is needed.
