You can sign up for NomNom in your phone’s web browser from start to finish. NomNom Web, where you run your bookings, works on a computer, though, so afterwards your phone isn’t signed in to it and can’t open it. Signup ends on a page that tells you what to do next instead. Here’s that page, step by step.
From the finish page
When signup finishes you’ll see YOU’RE ALL SET and, for example, The Red Lion is ready to take bookings. Your free trial has started, and no card is needed.
1. Book yourself a table. Under Try it now: book yourself a table, tap Open your booking page. Your booking page works on a phone, so book the way a guest would. The booking goes straight into your diary, and you can cancel it afterwards.
2. Get the address to your computer. Under Next, open NomNom on your computer is your sign-in address. Tap Copy link and send it to yourself, by email or a message you can open on your computer. Or skip this: your welcome email has the same link.
3. Sign in on your computer. Open the address in a desktop browser, or click Sign in to NomNom in your welcome email. Enter your email and the password you chose during signup.
4. Then add the app to your phone. Once you’re set up on your computer, install the free NomNom app from the App Store or Google Play, tap Already have an account? and enter the access code from your welcome email.
On your phone: the page you see when signup finishes. On your computer: the address from that page, or Sign in to NomNom in your welcome email.
If you open NomNom Web on your phone
Tap the sign-in link on a phone or tablet and you’ll see NomNom Web is only available on a desktop browser, with a Copy link button. Nothing is wrong with your account: copy the link and open it on your computer. The same goes for iPads and Android tablets (see Why can’t I open NomNom Web on my phone or iPad?).
Good to know
- Closed the finish page? Everything on it is in your welcome email too (see Your welcome email: signing in for the first time). Or go to app.nomnom-app.net on your computer and sign in with your email address.
- Forgotten the password you chose? On the sign-in page, click Forgotten your password?, or Sign in with a one-time code to have a code emailed to you instead.
- The access code runs out. The one in your welcome email lasts 48 hours. After that, tap Request a code in the app, or make one in NomNom Web (see Signing in on another device).
- Signed up in the NomNom app instead? Then the app on your phone is already signed in, and your welcome email has a temporary password for signing in to NomNom Web on your computer.
