Every update to the NomNom app is written up on our What’s new page, newest first. It’s the place to see what’s changed, check whether a new feature has reached your phone, and find out what’s on the way.
On our website: Support → Version History at the top of the nomnom-app.net home page, or What’s New at the bottom. The page is at nomnom-app.net/version-history.html.
What’s on the page
The page has up to three parts:
- In development (Beta) — what we’re building right now. Names and details may still change, and it isn’t on your phone yet. This part only appears when there’s something in the works.
- Coming in the next update — a finished version on its way to the App Store and Google Play, marked Awaiting release. This part only appears when one is on its way.
- Released — every version that’s out, newest at the top, each with the date it was released.
Inside each version, the changes are grouped under short headings — such as Online bookings or Fixes — so you can go straight to the parts of NomNom you use most.
Has a change reached my phone yet?
1. Find your version. In the phone app, tap the menu button (three lines, top left). The version is at the bottom, for example Version 1.0.8.150.
2. Compare the first three numbers (1.0.8 here) with the version numbers on the page. If the change is listed under your version or an older one, you’ve already got it.
3. Listed under a newer version? If it’s under Released, update the app — see Keeping the phone app up to date. If it’s under Coming in the next update, it’s nearly here: keep an eye out for the Update available bar.
Good to know
- The numbers are the phone app’s. NomNom Web has its own version number and is updated separately, so it won’t match the page. To make sure you have the latest there, see NomNom Web looks out of date: getting the latest version.
- Want to try things early? See Trying new app versions early (Beta Testing). When the page has an In development (Beta) part, it also has a link to join the beta on TestFlight, for iPhone.
- It’s the same page for every venue. It lists changes to NomNom itself, not changes anyone has made to your venue’s settings.
- Bookmark it. There’s no link to it inside the apps.
