Forgotten your password?

If you can’t remember your password, you can set a new one yourself from the sign-in page. NomNom emails you a link, and it works for one hour. The emailed reset is for admins, who sign in with an email address. If you sign in with a username, ask an admin to reset it (see Resetting a member of staff’s password).

In NomNom Web: sign-in page → Forgotten your password?. In the NomNom dashboard: sign-in page → Forgot your password?. The phone app doesn’t use a password.

Reset it from NomNom Web

1. Click Forgotten your password? It’s under the Sign in button.

2. Enter your email. In Reset your password, type the email address you sign in with and click Send reset link. You’ll see Check your email, which explains that only admin accounts are sent a reset link and that staff should ask an admin at your venue. For your security, it says the same whether or not the address has an account.

3. Open the email. It’s called Set your NomNom dashboard password. Within the hour, click Click here to set your password.

4. Choose a new password. On Set a new password, type it twice, at least 8 characters, and click Update password. When you see Password updated, click Sign in.

Reset it from the NomNom dashboard

1. Click Forgot your password? on the dashboard’s sign-in page (nomnom-app.net/admin).

2. Enter your email and click Send reset link.

3. Set it. The emailed link opens Set your password. Fill in New password and Confirm password, click Set password, then sign in.

It’s one password, so a new one set either way works in NomNom Web and the dashboard.

Good to know

  • Need to get in right now? In NomNom Web, click Sign in with a one-time code, then Email me a code, and type the 6-digit code within 15 minutes. It signs you in but doesn’t change your password, so reset that too when you can.
  • Know your password and just want a new one? In NomNom Web, choose Change password in the account menu; in the phone app, it’s in Settings. Type your Current password, then the new one twice.
  • One link, one use, one hour. If you asked more than once, only the newest email works. An old or used link says it’s no longer valid: just ask for a new one.
  • No email? Check your junk folder, and that you typed the address you sign in with. Only admin accounts are sent a reset link.
  • Locked out? After five wrong passwords, NomNom Web asks you to wait up to 15 minutes. Setting a new password from the emailed link lifts that, so you can sign in with it straight away. So does a reset by another admin.
  • Staff who sign in with a username are told to ask their manager on the sign-in page. Sign in with a one-time code works for them too: the code goes to their own email or, if they have none, to the restaurant or its owner.
  • On the phone app, a signed-out phone needs a new access code (see Signing in on another device). A forgotten booking PIN is reset by an admin (see Requiring a PIN before staff save a booking).
