Checking which devices are signed in, and signing one out

You can see every phone, tablet and browser signed in to NomNom and sign any of them out — when a phone is lost or stolen, a tablet is replaced, or you just want to tidy up. There are two places to do it: People & Access shows one person’s devices, and the NomNom dashboard shows every device at your venue. Both are for admins.

One person’s devices

1. Open the person. In NomNom Web, click your name at the top right, choose People & Access and click the person. In the phone app, go to Settings → People & Access and tap them.

2. Look under Devices. Each device they’re signed in on is listed by name — the description you’ve given it, or else its model, such as iPhone 12 Pro — with its type or model, app version and the day it was last used. A NomNom Web sign-in shows as Web browser. If there are none, you’ll see No devices signed in.

3. Click Sign out next to the device, then Sign out again to confirm. You’ll see Device signed out.

In NomNom Web: account menu (top right) → People & Access → pick the person → Devices. In the phone app: Settings → People & Access → tap the person → Devices.

Every device at your venue

1. Open the NomNom dashboard. In NomNom Web, open the account menu and choose Admin dashboard, or sign in at nomnom-app.net/admin.

2. Click Devices in the left-hand menu. The table shows each device’s Description, the User it’s signed in as, its Platform, Model, Last sign-in and App version. A device that isn’t linked to a person shows Unassigned, and appears only here.

3. Click Revoke and confirm. If you run more than one venue, you choose This venue only or All my venues.

A lost or stolen phone

Sign it out straight away, using either method. If the phone is online it’s usually signed out within moments; if it’s switched off, it’s signed out as soon as the app is next opened. It shows This device’s access has been removed by an administrator. and can only get back in with a new access code. When your colleague has a replacement, click New code under their Devices and give them the code (see Signing in on another device).

If the person has left, switch them off instead: that signs out all their devices at once (see When someone leaves: deactivating a member of staff).

Good to know

  • Give devices a name. On the dashboard’s Devices page, type a name such as Bar iPad into Description and click Save. The name shows in People & Access too.
  • Signing out a browser also stops Keep me signed in on this device working for that person, on every browser, so they sign in with their password next time. To stop a person signing in anywhere, switch them off instead.
  • Several browser entries. Each NomNom Web sign-in is listed separately, so you may see more than one Web browser. A browser session ends by itself after 12 hours without use, and drops off the list within about an hour after that, so there’s no need to sign out old entries.
  • Resetting a password doesn’t sign anyone out of their phone or an open browser. Use Sign out for that.
