What guests see on your event page

Every event has its own page: a simple list of its upcoming dates that you can share in a post, an email or a QR code. Here’s what guests see there, and what happens when they book.

Getting the link

Click the event and choose Copy public link. Once an event is saved, the same button is also in its own window, under Event group. The link is your booking link with /event/ and the event’s name on the end, such as /event/wine-tasting-night. Events in a group share the group’s link instead (see Setting up events and sharing their booking link).

In NomNom Web: Configuration → Events → click the event → Copy public link. In the phone app: Configuration → Events → tap the event → Copy public link.

The top of the page

Guests see your header image across the top (the same one as your booking page, if you’ve added one), then your venue’s name, the event’s name in large type and your Public notice. For a group, the group’s name is the title. The notice is the place for what guests want to know before they book: the price, the menu, whether there’s a dress code.

A card for each date

Under that, each upcoming date has its own card, soonest first, starting from today. An event that runs in more than one area still gets one card per date. A card shows the full date, such as Thursday 5 November 2026, the sitting times in your booking page’s Time format, such as 12:00 PM & 7:00 PM, and a button:

  • Book now when your booking page would really offer a time on that date: the event has room, the area takes online bookings, the date isn’t closed or stopped online, and, for an event that assigns tables, a table is free.
  • Fully booked once the event has reached its Max guests per area, or every sitting has reached its own limit, and also when guests couldn’t be offered a time for one of the other reasons above.

The page is worked out afresh each time it’s opened, so a date changes to Fully booked as the last place goes, and back again if someone cancels. A staff-only event, with Online booking switched off, never appears.

When a guest taps Book now

Your booking page opens, already set to that event and date, so there’s no calendar and no list of meals to choose from. This works even if your booking link normally shows a different page. The guest chooses how many are coming, and answers Bringing a dog? if you take dog bookings, unless you’ve switched that question off for the event. Then they pick a sitting time, shown with the event’s name. They always tap the time themselves, even when there’s only one, so it’s clear what they’re booking. After that it’s your usual booking form: their details, a card or deposit if the event asks for one, and a confirmation.

When there are no upcoming dates

Between runs, the link still works. Instead of cards, guests are told there are no upcoming dates for the event at the moment, with a Book a table button that takes them to your usual booking page. Add a new date with the same name and it appears on the same link, so a printed QR code keeps working as long as the name stays the same.

Good to know

  • Guests can find it on your booking page too. On the event’s date, it’s offered alongside your usual meals, under its own name.
  • Renaming the event changes its link. Copy the link again and replace it wherever you’ve shared it: an old link can show Event Not Found.
  • Something missing, or Fully booked too soon? See My event isn’t showing online or says Fully booked.
