When Stripe pays money into your bank, each payout is one lump sum: a few days of deposits, card charges and gift voucher sales, less Stripe’s fees and any refunds. Payouts to your bank lists every payout and what it was made of, so you can match it to your bank statement without opening Stripe.
See your payouts
1. Open your Stripe settings. In NomNom Web, open Settings from the account menu at the top right (or the button at the bottom of the left-hand bar) and choose Stripe. In the phone app, go to Settings → Stripe.
2. Click Payouts to your bank. It’s under the setup checklist once your Stripe account is connected. Only admins see it.
The newest payout is at the top. Each shows its amount, the bank account it went to, and the date it Arrived or is Expected, with a status: Paid, On its way, Pending, Failed or Cancelled. Click Load older payouts at the bottom to go further back.
In NomNom Web: Settings → Stripe → Payouts to your bank. In the phone app: Settings → Stripe → Payouts to your bank.
What’s in a payout
Click a payout to open it. The top shows the Amount, its Status, the account it was Paid into and when it arrived. Under WHAT’S IN THIS PAYOUT is every line Stripe put into it:
- Booking payment, with the booking reference and the guest’s name: a deposit, a charge on a card you held, or a payment link.
- Gift voucher: a voucher bought on your voucher page.
- Refund: money given back to a guest, which comes off the payout.
- Card payment: a card payment NomNom couldn’t match to a booking.
- Stripe fee, Adjustment or Other: anything else Stripe added or took off.
Each line shows when it was taken and Stripe’s fee on it. At the bottom, Payments less Stripe fees gives Paid to your bank, the figure on your bank statement.
Good to know
- It comes straight from Stripe each time you open it, so it’s always up to date.
- A payout that failed shows a Problem line with Stripe’s reason, usually bank details that need correcting. Change them in your Stripe dashboard: see When deposit and voucher money reaches your bank.
- No payouts yet? Stripe pays card payments into your bank a few days after they’re taken, so a new account takes a little while to show one.
- Card machine and cash payments you record in NomNom aren’t here, because they don’t go through Stripe.
- A very large payout shows its first 100 lines.
- Can’t see the button? You need to be an admin, and Stripe must be connected. In the phone app, update to the latest version.
- Who charges what on each payment is explained in What NomNom and Stripe charge on deposits, vouchers and SMS.
