Sometimes you want the phone lines and your team to stay open but the booking page to slow down — a chef away, a smaller kitchen team, a week you'd rather not run at full tilt. The online maximum lets you cap how many guests a sitting will accept online, without touching your real capacity.
Set the limit
Open the meal in NomNom Web and set its Online maximum guests field. Leave it at 0 for Unlimited.
In NomNom Web: open the account menu (top-right) → Configuration → Meals → open a meal → Online maximum guests.
On the mobile app: open Configuration → Meals, tap a meal, and set Online maximum guests.

How it works
Once the sitting reaches the limit, guests can no longer book it on your booking page — the times simply stop being offered. Your team can always keep adding bookings in NomNom Web, so walk-ins and phone bookings are never blocked by the cap.
The limit works whether the meal books onto tables or by headcount — on a table-based meal it acts as an extra ceiling below what your tables could physically seat.
When it's useful
- Capping covers for a few weeks while you're short-staffed.
- Keeping a busy service from filling entirely online, so there's always room kept back for regulars who ring up.
One thing to remember: the cap is a standing setting, not a date range — if you lower it temporarily, make a note to put it back.
