You don’t have to change tables or booking times one at a time. Tick as many as you like and change them together — switching a row of window tables off for online booking, say, or putting a guest limit on every Sunday lunch time.
Change several tables
1. Open Tables. In NomNom Web, open Configuration from your account menu at the top right, or from the button at the bottom of the left-hand bar, and choose Tables. Only admins see it. If you have more than one area, pick one under Room.
2. Tick the tables. Click the tick box at the start of each row you want. To tick every table in the list, use the box in the header, or Select → Select all. You’ll see how many you’ve ticked, such as 3 selected.
3. Click Modify and choose a change.
- Set size: choose the number of Guests and click Apply. If a future booking on one of the tables is too big for the new size, you’ll see Party will not fit first. Click Set size to go ahead anyway, or Cancel.
- Set priority: choose from 5 — Highest down to 1 — Lowest and click Apply. Priority only breaks a tie between tables of the same size.
- Enable web booking or Disable web booking: changes straight away.
The ticks clear once the change is made. The same buttons work for joined tables: choose Table groups instead of Tables.
In NomNom Web: Configuration → Tables → tick the tables → Modify. In the phone app: Configuration → Tables → Edit → tap the tables → Modify.
Change several booking times
1. Open Times. In Configuration, choose Times, then the Meal — and the Room and Season too, if you use them. Only the times in the list you’re looking at can be ticked.
2. Tick the times. Tick each row, or use the box in the header or Select → Select all for the whole list.
3. Click Modify and choose a change.
- Enable web booking or Disable web booking: shows or hides those times on your booking page. Your team can still book them either way.
- Set max guests: the most guests who can book online at each of those times, where 0 means no limit. Click Save. See Limiting how many guests can book online.
- Set turn length: one turn length for bookings at those times, whatever the party size. Choose Default to put them back on the meal’s own turn lengths. Click Save.
- Enable days or Disable days: pick the days and click Apply. Only the days you pick change. Each time keeps its other days as they were.
You’ll see a message such as Updated 6 time slots, and the ticks clear.
In NomNom Web: Configuration → Times → tick the times → Modify. In the phone app: Configuration → Times → Edit → tap the times → Modify.
Good to know
- In the phone app, tap Edit first, then tap the rows to tick them, or use Select → Select All. The changes are the same, though some names differ slightly, such as Set Table Size and Enable for days.
- Use default days appears under Modify when you’re looking at a room’s own list of times in NomNom Web. It sets the days you pick back to following the shared list — see Different booking times for different rooms.
- Deleting several at once. Delete removes everything ticked once you confirm, and it can’t be undone. For tables, NomNom warns you first if future bookings are still on them, because deleting leaves those bookings with no table. Any table group that includes a deleted table is deleted with it.
- Smallest party online follows the size. If you make tables smaller than their Smallest party online, it comes down to match.
- Bookings you’ve already taken don’t move. These changes apply to new bookings. For more on turn lengths, see Setting how long a table is held, including different times on certain days.
