Once gift vouchers are set up (see Selling gift vouchers), guests buy them on your own voucher page: they choose an amount, say who it’s for, add a message and pay by card, and the voucher arrives by email. That page isn’t linked from your booking page or anywhere else, so guests will only find it if you share it. Here’s how to get its address and where to put it.
Find your voucher page’s address
1. Open your voucher settings. In NomNom Web, open Settings from the account menu (top right) or the bottom of the left-hand bar, and choose Vouchers. In the phone app, go to Settings → Vouchers, or tap the cog at the top of the Vouchers screen.
2. Click Open purchase page. It’s in the Sales section, marked Preview. This is exactly what your guests see.
3. Copy the address. In NomNom Web the page opens in a new browser tab, so copy the address from the address bar. In the phone app it opens inside NomNom: tap the round button with three dots at the top right and choose Copy URL.
In NomNom Web: Settings → Vouchers → Open purchase page. In the phone app: Settings → Vouchers → Open purchase page.
The address doesn’t change, so you only need to do this once. It’s https://api.nomnom-app.net/web/vouchers/ followed by the same code that ends your booking link. If what you copied has a question mark with something after it, leave that part off.
Where to share it
- Your website. Add a Gift vouchers button or menu item that opens the address. Beside your booking button is a good spot.
- Social media. Put it in your Instagram and Facebook bios, and post it in the run-up to Christmas, Mother’s Day and Valentine’s Day.
- Google. Add an update to your Google Business Profile with a Buy button that links to your voucher page.
- Email. Add a line to your email signature and any newsletters you send.
- In the venue. A QR code on table talkers, menus or the bill folder works well. NomNom doesn’t make QR codes, but any free QR code generator will: paste in your address and download the image. Scan it with your own phone before you print.
Your booking link and your voucher link are separate. Guests on your booking page won’t see vouchers, so share both.
If the page says sales are unavailable
If your voucher page shows Gift voucher sales are temporarily unavailable instead of the form, nobody can buy. Check these in order:
- Sell vouchers is switched off. Switch on Sell vouchers at the top of your voucher settings.
- Stripe needs finishing. If your voucher settings show Stripe onboarding incomplete — vouchers paused, click Complete Stripe Onboarding and finish everything Stripe asks for (see Connecting card payments with Stripe). When you’re done, open your voucher settings again — they check your Stripe account as they open — then reload your voucher page.
- Neither of those? Get in touch with us and we’ll look into it.
Vouchers you’ve already sold can still be redeemed while sales are unavailable.
Good to know
- Settings are for admins. You need an admin login to open voucher settings, but anyone can share the address once you have it.
- It uses your header picture. The voucher page shows the same header image as your booking page.
- Amounts, expiry and terms all come from your voucher settings. Selling gift vouchers explains them.
- Selling at the till too? See Selling gift vouchers in person. For spending vouchers, see Redeeming a gift voucher and spending part of it.
