Adding menus to your booking page, Discover listing and emails

Guests like to see what’s on before they book. Add your menus to NomNom once — as a PDF, a picture, or a link to the menu on your own website — and they appear on your booking page and your NomNom Discover listing. You can also put a View menu button in your confirmation email.

Add a menu

1. Open Menus. In NomNom Web, open Settings from the account menu at the top right, or from the button at the bottom of the left-hand bar, and choose Menus. You’ll need to be an admin.

2. Click Add. It’s at the top right.

3. Name it. Guests see this name, so keep it simple: Dinner Menu, Sunday Lunch, Wine List.

4. Choose File or URL. For File, click Choose file and pick a PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP. For URL, paste the address of a menu on your own website, including the https:// at the start.

5. Click Save. It’s at the top right. Your menu joins the list.

NomNom Web Settings, Add Menu screen: name Sunday Lunch, type File, file sunday-lunch.pdf

In NomNom Web: Settings → Menus → Add. In the phone app: Settings → Menus → Add.

Where guests see your menus

  • Your booking page has a Menus section. Guests click a menu to open it in a new tab. A new or changed menu shows there straight away.
  • Your NomNom Discover listing, if you’re listed, shows the same menus as cards. A picture menu shows a preview of the picture; a PDF or a link says Open the PDF or Open menu.

Add a View menu button to your confirmation email

Menus aren’t added to emails automatically, so you choose which one guests are sent.

1. Open Email Templates. Open Settings, choose Email Settings, then Email Templates, and pick Default Confirmation.

2. Choose a menu. Under Buttons, next to Menu link, click Choose a menu and pick one. You can paste any other link instead.

3. Save. Click Save changes (in the phone app, tap Save). Confirmation emails now have a View menu button.

A meal or event with its own confirmation template can link its own menu — your Christmas menu for Christmas party bookings, say. See Customising your confirmation emails.

Change or remove a menu

Click a menu in the list to open it and check it. Click the three dots next to it (or press and hold it in the phone app) for View, Edit and Delete.

When a menu changes, choose Edit and pick the new file, rather than deleting it and adding it again. It keeps the same link, so a View menu button in your emails carries on working and opens the new file. If you delete a menu your emails link to, choose another under Menu link, or the button will stop working.

Good to know

  • File types. Use a PDF, JPG, PNG or WEBP. GIFs aren’t accepted, so save a GIF as a PNG or JPG first.
  • Order. Menus are listed in alphabetical order of their names, on your booking page and your Discover listing.
  • Menu already on your website? Choose URL and link to it. Guests go straight to your page, so it’s always up to date.
  • One list for both. NomNom Web and the phone app share the same menus.
