Events let you take bookings for one-off occasions — a tasting menu, a wine evening, a live music night — without touching your weekly schedule. An event works like a meal that happens on a specific date, with its own time, its own capacity, and (if you like) its own card or deposit rules.
Create an event
In NomNom Web, open the Events section of the Configuration dialog and use the panel's add control. Give the event a name, pick its date, and set its start time. Guests will see the event offered on your booking page on that date, marked with an Event badge.
Each event on a given date needs its own name — if you already have an event with the same name on that date, NomNom Web will ask you to choose a different one.
In NomNom Web: open the account menu (top-right) → Configuration → Events.
On the mobile app: events live under Configuration → Events.

Choose how capacity works
An event can take bookings in one of two ways:
- Maximum guests — a simple headcount. You set the total number of guests the event can hold, and online bookings are accepted until it's full. This is the usual choice for events, and it's how new events are set up.
- Tables — guests book onto your tables just like a normal service, so the event's capacity comes from the tables themselves.
Headcount capacity is designed with online bookings in mind — your team can always manage the guest list from the bookings screen.
Taking a deposit or card details
Events can ask for a card to hold the booking, or take a deposit per person, exactly like your regular meals. You'll find the payment options in the event's editor — set the amount and choose the days it applies on. You'll need card payments connected with Stripe first.
In NomNom Web: open the account menu (top-right) → Configuration → Events → open the event → its payments section.

Duplicate, edit or delete an event
Select any event in the list and you'll be offered three choices: Duplicate Event, Edit Event or Delete Event.
Duplicate Event is the quick way to build a run of similar nights — it opens a new event pre-filled from the one you selected, including its payment rules, and suggests a fresh name. Rename it (adding the date works well), change the date, and save. A themed weekend with a Friday and Saturday sitting takes moments this way.

What guests see
On the dates an event runs, it appears alongside your regular meals on your booking page with an Event badge, so guests can tell it apart from everyday service. Everything else about booking — confirmation emails, reminders, deposits — works just as it does for normal bookings.
